Lean On Me - We Fix Fences

What to Expect on Fence Post Repair Day

On repair day, the technician will text you a time window the evening before, do a brief walkthrough with you on arrival, complete the repair in approximately 15 minutes per post using a handheld auger and concrete, and send you a digital invoice after completion — the whole job typically takes under an hour for most residential repairs.

Knowing exactly what to expect when a repair technician arrives at your home removes the uncertainty that causes many homeowners to delay booking. Lean On Me repairs are fast, clean, and follow a consistent process every time. Here is exactly what happens from the evening before your appointment to the moment you receive your invoice.

H2: The Evening Before: Your Time Window

The evening before your scheduled repair date — typically between 5 and 8 PM — the technician will text you a two-hour time window for the following day. For example, "9–11 AM" or "1–3 PM." This is based on the technician's full schedule for the day and their planned route.

You do not need to call in or confirm. The text is your confirmation. If you have any concerns about access or want to relay information about your yard, this is a good time to respond to that message.

H2: Arrival and Walkthrough

When the technician arrives, they will do a brief walkthrough with you before starting any work. This typically takes 2 to 5 minutes. They will confirm which posts are being repaired, visually assess each post and the clearance available at the base, let you know if anything affects the scope or price, and answer any questions you have before work begins. You will have the opportunity to raise any concerns or adjust the scope at this stage before any work starts.

H2: The Repair

Each post repair takes approximately 15 minutes. The process: the steel fixture is bolted to the post approximately 14 inches from the base; the technician uses a handheld auger to bore a hole beside the post down below the frost line; the fixture's lower arm is inserted into the hole; concrete is poured and the post is braced at 90 degrees; the area around the base is tidied. For a two-post repair, the total work time is roughly 30 minutes.

H2: After the Work Is Done

Once complete, the technician photographs the finished work. These photos are uploaded to your customer profile and serve as the before-and-after record. The system then automatically generates your invoice and sends it to your email. You pay through a self-serve portal at your convenience — by e-transfer or credit card. There is no payment required on-site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to prepare anything before the technician arrives?

Clear about 1.5 feet of space on one side of each post being repaired. Remove any garden ornaments, potted plants, or loose debris from the base of the post. If the gate is locked, make sure it is unlocked. Marking posts with a piece of string or tape is helpful if only some are being repaired.

What if the technician arrives and finds something unexpected?

The technician will stop and discuss it with you before proceeding. If the actual scope differs from what was quoted, they will explain the additional cost and get your approval before continuing. Nothing extra happens without your consent.

How long before I can use the fence after repair?

The fence can be used normally within 24 to 48 hours, once the concrete has cured to working strength. The post will stand straight and stable immediately after installation.
